Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Pathr website at pathr.id (the "Service"), operated by Pathr. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction.
2. The Service
Pathr is an identity-and-self-knowledge product that takes input from a 9-question quiz, optional personal details (name, date of birth, free-text), and generates a personalized "Vibe Card" description and related content. Subsequent cards (Shadow, Element, Mission, Codex) and compatibility readings between users may be unlocked via friend invites or paid purchase.
The Service is offered as-is, for entertainment and self-reflection purposes. It is not a psychiatric, medical, therapeutic, or career-counseling service. Output should not be used as a substitute for professional advice from a licensed psychologist, therapist, physician, or career counselor.
3. Your account
To save your card and unlock additional features, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining access to that email address. If you lose access, contact us — we will help recover the account where possible.
One account per person. You may not impersonate another person or share your account credentials.
4. User content and behavior
By using the Service you agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to harass, harm, or deceive others.
- Misrepresent your relationship to people you invite (e.g., labeling a stranger as "friend" to manipulate them into engaging).
- Submit content that violates the rights of others or applicable laws.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, automate, or overload the Service.
- Bypass authentication, paywalls, or access controls.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Vibe Card outputs without our written permission.
5. Intellectual property
The Service, including the underlying psychometric scoring system, archetype catalog, Cultural DNA references, prompt templates, and visual designs, is owned by Pathr and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws.
Your Vibe Card content: the personalized text output generated for you is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use — you may screenshot it, share it, post it on social media, and reference it. Pathr retains the underlying right to the system that generated it.
6. Payments and refunds
Some cards (Codex) and subscription features (Connections+) are paid. Payments are processed by Stripe under their terms. Once a digital card is unlocked or generated, refunds are at our discretion — contact us within 7 days of purchase if you have a concern.
Subscription fees are charged in advance on a recurring basis. You can cancel any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
7. Compatibility / connection feature
When you share your Pathr link with someone and they take the quiz, both of you can view a compatibility score across four dimensions (vibe / romantic / friendship / cofounder). Personal archetype descriptions are not disclosed to the other party unless both of you opt in to mutual reveal. Relationship-tags (e.g., "crush", "friend") you assign when sending the link are private to you and never shown to the recipient.
Don't use this feature to harass, deceive, or harm anyone. Compatibility readings are entertainment, not relationship advice.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via cabinet settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service to harm other users.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. PATHR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT VIBE CARDS WILL BE ACCURATE, MEANINGFUL, OR USEFUL FOR ANY SPECIFIC PURPOSE.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PATHR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR USD $50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
11. Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms. The "Last updated" date will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Pathr is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of that jurisdiction.
